Not too long ago, I purchased the Satechi wired keyboard (sn:2108001325) and
a Satechi wired mouse (model #ST-AWUCM) for increased security over wire instead of the easily hackable bluetooth or wireless keyboards.
I have worn smooth two Apple wireless keyboards, so I thought to try the Satechi Slim X1 bluetooth keyboard. I found the Slim X1 bluetooth, with its “hold the fn + a key with the bluetooth icon) to go into pairing mode. That is far, far easier and better than the Apple bluetooth pairing.
Unfortunately, it failed about an hour ago with a full charge, and strangely the Apple keyboard would not work either and the Satechi wired keyboard would not work either.
So I ended up turning off (not rebooting) my M1 Macbook Air and now it is working with the Apple keyboad again. I have not yet tried it with the Satechi Slim X1 or the Satechi Slim wired.
The Satechi Slim X1 was being used when the strange failure occured.
Is it Apple, playing games to ensure Apple -Only hardware runs on their new M1/M2 T2-security chip?
By the way, I have also purchased, today, the new Satechi Pro Hub Slim.
It looks very similar to the Mokin model #MOUC210A (sn: 2220) that used to work fine for a couple months, maybe even 6-months, but suddenly it just stopped working for some unknown reason.
I really hope that the Satechi Pro Hub Slim delivers equal (or better) performance and at least for a 6-month or 1-year duration.

I really like this keyboard. It will fit in my travel backpack in the same bag I use for my portable OLED display. The keyboard is very responsive and is just like the keyboard I use on my desk at home. Just have to remember to wait a second for the keyboard to wake up before I start typing. The only change I would like to see is for the F4 function to be the old function of seeing all of the open windows when pressed. Other than that, this will now be a part of my travel kit when I have my laptop with me.
