It all started in December 2005, when college friends Alan and Brock decided to turn a shared dream into reality. Armed with big ideas and a San Diego garage, they set out to design tech accessories that were sleek, functional, and made life just a little easier. By April 2006, they dropped their first big hit: an FM Transmitter for iPods.

In the early days, Satechi was all about making its mark—literally. We rolled out our first logo and started building a brand that people would actually recognize. By 2009, we hit our stride with a line of sleek, user-friendly presentation remotes that quickly became a go-to in offices and classrooms everywhere. People weren’t just noticing us. They were trusting us.

Between 2010 and 2012, we set a new design benchmark—introducing products crafted to reflect Apple’s signature aesthetic. With a refined mix of brushed aluminum, minimalist silhouettes, and sleek Space Gray finishes, we established a product language that felt native to Apple users. This formative period cemented our reputation as a brand with an uncompromising eye for detail and a deep affinity for the Apple ecosystem. 

With serious momentum at home, we set our sights on the world. In 2012, we launched on Amazon UK, and by 2014, we expanded into the broader European market. New countries, new customers, and the same commitment to sleek, smart tech. Today, our products are used and loved across the globe—proof that great design knows no borders.

Our breakthrough moment came when we hit the big stage. Making our debut at CES in 2015, he world’s premier tech showcase, and IFA in 2016, we grabbed the industry’s attention and proved that Satechi wasn’t just another accessory brand: we were here to push the limits of what tech could be. As we expand globally, we continue catching the attention of international markets. 

2019 was a defining year. Our Type-C Multiport Adapter became an instant best-seller, and we formalized a long-term partnership with Apple. Being welcomed into the Apple ecosystem wasn’t just a milestone—it marked a leap forward for Satechi’s global presence and creative momentum, propelling our commitment to innovation and premium design to new heights. 

From winning our first CES award in 2023 to opening a Satechi office in Asia in 2024, we have been on a serious growth streak. What began in a San Diego garage is now an international brand with a global footprint and a presence on desks around the world. As we celebrate 20 years of innovation in 2025, we’re not just reflecting on how far we’ve come—we’re setting our sights even higher for what’s next.
